EDU-Scentify is our in person self paced candle making classes catered to 6-12th grade NYC students Our NC&S staff will guide students using our scaffolded instructional menu making this experience accessible for for all learners. Join us and explore our selection of fragrance oils, candle holders, and candle dyes as you transform into a candle artisan. Teachers and students feel a sense of community as they build their understanding of math and science, while relaxing and exploring their creative sides. LEARNING EXPERIENCE Students perform math volume conversions, witness physical changes as they make predictions, improve problems-solving skills while building their hand-eye coordination. SESSIONS Each session is approximately 2 hours HOUR 1: Artisans will select fragrance oils, wax dyes and begin handcrafting their 4oz soy wax candle. Our lead artisan will guide guests through the candle making process. HOUR 2: After all of your hard work, you may create your custom labels, arrange your candle gift boxes and enjoy complimentary appetizers and beverages. Your candle will need an entire hour to cool down before you can take it home. As you candle cools, take a stroll around the neighborhood to enjoy nearby eats or peruse through our store or around the and use your $5 certificate gifted by us! If you can't stick around for the whole workshop, we'll hold onto your candle for 3 days or ship to you for $6 per person. Become a candle artisan! Schedule a class today!!
